Juventus' Champions League Ambitions and Boga's Dream Start

Jeremie Boga is experiencing an exceptional beginning at Juventus, describing it as a 'dream' and expressing his desire to make the transfer permanent. Meanwhile, Manuel Locatelli firmly believes that the club 'belongs in the Champions League'.

In a challenging encounter in Bergamo, Atalanta asserted dominance in the first half, consistently pushing Juventus back into their own territory for extended periods. Despite the pressure, Juventus secured a crucial victory with a single goal. Boga was instrumental, capitalizing on a loose ball and finding the net with the help of a deflection off Atalanta's Marco Carnesecchi.

Since his loan move from Olympique Marseille in January, Boga has proven to be a valuable acquisition for Juventus, scoring four goals in nine Serie A appearances. This recent goal marked a significant moment against one of his former clubs.

Juventus is Ascending Towards the Top Four

"To be completely honest, I couldn't have imagined a better start here," Boga shared with Sky Sport Italia. "It was a difficult match, but we played very well, fought hard, and these are three incredibly important points."

Prior to the match, Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini indicated that the club intends to exercise their option to purchase Boga permanently from Marseille for €4.8 million, with potential bonuses. Boga himself is eager to continue his journey with the Turin club: "It is my goal to stay here with these great players, so I will give 100 percent in every game and hope that I will remain," the forward stated.

This victory propels Juventus to within three points of third-placed Milan. They have temporarily moved ahead of Como in the standings, awaiting Inter's Sunday evening fixture.

"There are certain games throughout the season that you simply must win. We achieved that tonight with heart, and it wasn't easy," Locatelli told Sky Sport Italia. "We always remind ourselves that pressure shouldn't weigh us down at Juventus; instead, it should fuel us, because Juventus belongs in the Champions League."

Locatelli also lauded his teammate Boga, with whom he shares a history from their previous time together at Juventus. "I am so pleased for my brother Jerry, because I always believed he could succeed at a big club, and now he is finally demonstrating his capabilities."
